What are the judges looking for?

Judging criteria will include the impact a submission makes on the Global Goals. It is important to ensure your entry truly conveys the innovation and excellence that you wish the TiA judges to acknowledge. Your commitment and passion must also be evident.

How many of the criteria points do I have to address?

The more criteria you address, the higher your chance of becoming a finalist.

What do Global Goals results mean?

TiA is aimed at creating measurable impact against the objectives that the Global Goals outline. If the entrant can identify an outcome that is innovative or ground breaking, or has provided information that would influence future direction, this is a result that would be seen as influential and worthy.

What are the Global Goals?

Entrants must align to at least one of the Global Goals. For more information on the Global Goals, visit: https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/

Do I have to stick to the word limit in supporting documents?

Yes, the details are contained in the registration portal. If you are having difficulty, we suggest you save your entry, fine-tune and synthesise your entry within the three weeks and before the close of submissions. Editing content to be more “to the point” will be beneficial in focusing the judges’ attention to the most important aspects of your project. You can provide additional information of a technical, diagrammatic or in report form, in your attachments.

Can I email my entry?

At what stage of the project should I put an entry in?

You can submit your final entry at any stage. You would also be advised to review and consider any feedback provided by the experts/mentors/judges to improve your idea and your measurable outcomes before submission.

Can I start my entry and then return to it at a later date to make changes?

Yes, just make sure you save your progress along the way. You can access and modify your entry as many times as you like and up until you submit.

Once submitted am I able to make any changes?

No, you may make as many changes as you like up until you click submit. After this you will be locked out and prevented from editing your entry.

Can I re-enter the same idea if I have entered it elsewhere?

Yes, of course. As long as your entry aligns with the TiA criteria you’re welcome to enter. You would also be advised to review and consider any feedback provided by the experts/mentors/judges to improve your idea and results before submission.

Can I enter the same project for the TiA into other awards?
